Smoked Pork Belly Burnt Ends


Ingredients

  • 1 whole or sliced raw pork belly
  • 2-3 tablespoons Li’l Kick Hangry Spice
  • For the sauce
  • 1/2 cup favorite BBQ sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • (if you like it hot) add 1/4 cup favorite pepper jelly

Prep time: 30-45 min.

Cook time: 4 hours or until internal temp of meat reaches 190 degrees

Cooking method: Pellet smoker if you have one, Crock pot or an oven works great also

Servings: 8-10 depending on size of serving

Instructions

  • If the pork belly has the skin on you need to remove the skin (try getting without skin…so much easier)
  • Coat entire pork belly with Liberal amount of Li’l Kick spice blend
  • Preheat smoker or oven to 275 degrees
  • Cook for 4 hours or until internal temp of meat is 190 degrees
  • Prepare your sauce:
  • Remove from smoker or oven when 190 degrees reached
  • Cut into 2×2″ cubes
  • Place in pan or slow cooker
  • Coat with sauce
  • Place pan with coated Pork belly cubes into the smoker and turn heat up to 325 for 45 min.
  • You are looking for a nice caramelization (if in slow cooker they will not be crispy but still delicious
  • Remove and serve your delicious creation
