Our Story

Welcome to Hangry Spice Company.  

I am Chef Michael, I have been an avid home cook for the past 40 years, preparing buffet style meals for family and friends at holiday parties and social gatherings. For the last few years, I have professionally catered events including weddings, office parties and private functions. 

In 2019, I began moving away from the commercially produced, large company spice blends in favor of my own creations.  I knew I was on to something when I was asked countless times about the spices that I used and where they could be purchased.  When I explained that, I created the blends, the reaction was, “will you make me some?” I began making my spice blends and giving them away as gifts for the holidays. Soon enough, the requests for more began to increase.

I was having a “beverage” with my good friend Larry, he asked to try it; after sharing a shaker of the “Li’l Kick Spice, (I had named it by then) I knew he would give me an honest review.  I was overcome by the positive comments. Larry has been a highly successful sales and marketing professional for over 30 years and when he mentioned that we should bring these spice blends to market—well–the only thing to do was say, “OK, let’s do it!”

My name is Larry Hill, I have 35 years of sales, management and marketing experience. I have always had an interest in the very competitive spice blend market space. I am proud to be teaming up with my good friend Mike to create and share with everyone a unique and high-quality spice experience. Everyone can appreciate the importance of added flavor to all varieties of foods. Whether grilling, smoking, roasting, braising, slow cooking for friends and family or simply satisfying your love of traditional cooking recipes, these spice blends will be a great addition to your spice cabinet.

Michael and I are motivated to bring you complete seasoning options to assist you in bringing out your best cooking creations. We believe that our Hangry Spice blends will simplify your spice collection for added flavor and make all of your culinary creations go from good to amazing.

In 2024, we decided to combine our individual skills and experiences in cooking, sales, and marketing. We decided to open our business; Hangry Spice Company L.L.C.   We created the Hangry Spice website to bring our blends to our customers to purchase these products in the online store.  We have included recipes incorporating the spice blends along with some videos of these recipes being made.

We hope you enjoy the first series of spice blends named: Sweet Kick, Li’l Kick, and Fiery Kick. Please share our videos with those avid home chefs you know and love and please, we encourage you to send us your Hangry spice recipes for inclusion on our website.
